This year will be working with Sacred Heart to accomplish an entire marketing campaign in a mere 24 hours!

The whole team committed to —and accomplished —an staggering amount of work in a single sleepless day. Now it’s time to stretch, contemplate breakfast, and look back at what we created.

Printed Collateral

The print team hustled to beat their ultra-tight deadline. In spite of technical and design challenges, they produced an entire campaign that included:

  • Brand new branding and illustrations to match
  • A 1218 poster
  • A trifold brochure
  • A greeting/thank you card
  • Postcards

The print team also produced materials to be delivered as digital files to SHCS and printed as necessary later.

  • A poster for their donation barrels
  • A drive kit
  • A promotional building banner
  • A sponsorship brochure

An Website Redesign and Implementation

Drawing visual inspiration from the print team, the website went from zero to launch in less than one day thanks to the tireless efforts of our web team. At least, they kept each other psyched throughout the day …and night …and next morning. Their work included:

This year, Wired will be benefiting

Sacred Heart

They help families who need food and gifts for their kids during the holidays.

Sacred Heart is celebrating 50 years of helping end poverty in the community they serve. They help more than 75,000 people and families that struggle to make ends meet. We're thrilled to be working alongside their small team to help them with their holiday campaign and celebrating their 50th anniversary! We'll work on brand strategy and design for their campaign, including a website, brochures, posters and other goodies.

Still strong (and crazy) after seven years!

We were crazy enough to do our first Wired in 2006 and, in 24-hours, blazed through a huge marketing effort.

Helping non-profits succeed

Our first Wired wasn't just a stunt. We saw an educational opportunity where nonprofits could learn design thinking and push forward!

Working with nonprofits over the years, we've found that they need every detail figured out before they take action. There's a time and place for detail, but when getting a project off the ground, it can be paralyzing. That's where design thinking comes to the rescue!

This year, we worked alongside Rebuilding Together Peninsula, a non-profit that helps families and communities in the Bay Area. They needed our help in putting together marketing materials for their 25th Anniversary. In 24 hours, we built a new site, printed new brochures and other goodies for their celebration next year.

Our past Wired events were a success

Here’s who we’ve helped. Many more to come!

Past Events

Want to be a part of Wired?

Volunteering means signing up for the full 24 hours, showing up on time, and committing to helping various team members out in a fluid schedule that will test your mettle throughout the day and night (and day again).

The people who have the most rewarding experiences are also the ones who contribute the most. Web, visual and print design skills are best. They are great at their craft, think quick on their feet, likable and motivated to help a non-profit and collaborate with ZURB.

    What we are looking for:

  • Hard Worker

It takes a lot to go 24 hours straight.

  • Scrappy

Be able to figure out how to do something

  • Team Player

Be able to give helpful feedback

  • Fun

    Most important of all!

We love local businesses!

Anything you can send to our efforts would be awesome. We really like goodies — cupcakes and coffee — to keep our volunteers fueled or help with getting our print materials ... well, printed.
