You've heard it before and you'll hear it again — the old ways of web design don't work anymore. Our designs can no longer be stuck in 960 grids or on a single device. There are literally hundreds upon hundreds of devices that can access the web. Yet we encounter sites everyday that are still stuck in the past, that look good on a desktop but are busted on a mobile phones.
With 47.5% of Americans accessing the web through their smartphones, we can't ignore mobile. After all, mobile web traffic will leave desktop traffic in the dust by 2015, if not sooner. Our sites can't look like busted teeth on mobile. One way to prevent that is to prototype, and do it rapidly and responsively.
Rapid, responsive prototyping is preventative medicine, like flossing. But how exactly do we do that? We recently had the pleasure of taking folks step-by-step through rapid, responsive design at HTML V. We crafted a website from sketch to coded prototype with Foundation, showing how quickly you can build a site that won't break on mobile devices. Enjoy the talk below.
