Well, we have to Open Up the Challenge first, and that’s where we are now—the Define phase! We’re two hours into our 24-hour race to help Downtown Streets Team create an amazing marketing campaign. Right now, we’re opening up the challenge to discover insights into how to shape a great campaign. This involves splitting up into teams, brainstorming, putting ideas onto paper, and then selecting the best ideas.
Check out the teams' brainstorming sessions on the whiteboards in this Notable set.
The teams for Wired are Content, Web, Engineering, Social, and Visuals. The Content team is tasked with shaping the structure of messaging and storytelling. The Visuals team is tasked with creating the visual assets that will make up the presentation layer of the website as well as print collateral. The Web team is tasked with designing the Downtown Streets Team’s new website. The Engineering team is tasked with standing the site up in WordPress.
Why Is The Define Phase Important?
The ZURB process starts with a Define phase is about coming together as a group so that each team has a common understanding of what the challenge is, and how everyone can move forward in their respective functional areas.
The next step is for each team to present their best ideas, so that the larger group can quickly choose the right opportunities to push forward. Stay tuned as we move into Ideation where we’ll start sketching and wireframing!
