We’re getting closer to a campaign direction for the Downtown Streets Team. So far, we’ve broken up our project into Content, Visuals & Print, Website and Social. We’re going through and tackling these individually as we work towards those end deliverables. We’ve taken five different directions, and cut it to three to make the message clean and clear. We’re now at the tail end of getting to the main direction that’s going to drive the rest of our teams and the content that they create.
Downtown Streets Team wants to end homelessness and we’ve been exploring three distinct campaign directions after moving on to the second round of our Brainstorming sessions. We’re looking at three separate ideas ranging from color spectrums to strong calls to action. Here’s a brief rundown of some possible campaign directions:
- We want to “solve the puzzle” by rearranging the pieces that have fallen apart to fix the problem. This is specifically targeting the idea of “one person at a time”
- “Homelessness is a Spectrum” - This approach gives us a view of the world in black and white representing all of the triggers that lead to homelessness juxtaposed with a world of color representing helping themselves to get out of that world.
- “See. Fight. End” - A more aggressive approach with provocative language and a strong call to action.
The story remains the same, Downtown Streets Team has a system to get homeless people off the streets to make them self sufficient productive members of society. We're hashing out how Downtown Streets Team can communicate their mission to the community. Polishing the story is key to helping potential donors see why they should donate time or funds to help Downtown Streets Team achieve their mission. We still have quite a lot of work to do, but we’re going through the process to get there. Click here to see our progress, let us know what you think!
