How do you use Notable, and why do you like it?
Notable has solved a tremendous issue for us: how do you tell clientsa'' webmasters what changes to make on their pages to optimize them? If ita''s only one long block of text, that you could use a Word document with change tracking. But when ita''s little blocks of text all over the page, and alt text on images, and suggestions for page changes to increase their conversion ratea'' thata''s a little more than a Word document can handle. And using standard screen capture tools and marking them up is very time consuming (getting all those little arrows to point to the right placesa'')
Notable gives us an interface where we can comment on any aspect of a web page and easily identify the area wea''re commenting on, whether ita''s the size of a missing punctuation mark or the size of a 500 by 500 px image, have the comment be bigger or smaller than the box, and not have to worry that the comment boxes are going to overlap with and block each other. Ita''s also easy to share with the webmaster of the site wea''re optimizing a'' just copy the link and send it.
Any tips for other customers?
I would say that if youa''re working with an SEO firm and they dona''t know about Notable, ita''s worth a suggestion to them if you think it would be easier to receive optimization instructions that way. You can also use the comments feature to have a record of any discussion that happened over a particular optimization suggestion. Then you dona''t have to wade through emails to track the back-and-forth a'' ita''s all there, right next to the box highlighting the site text or element under discussion.
