OK, we've all had this problem — a backed-up bottle of ketchup. It's a pain. You've got to shake it or hammer the bottom of the bottle in the vain hope that the ketchup will flow. But some ingenious engineers and nanotechnologists at MIT have come up with a slipper, non-toxic and non-stick solution, "LiquiGlide." Check out this video:
Pretty neat, huh? Sure, it's only a bottle of ketchup. But it's a good reminder that as product designers, whether we're designing bottles or web applications, that we're solving everyday problems for people. Entrepreneurism, after all, is about solving problems, even the ones that might seem as mundane as a bottle of ketchup.
