Walking the streets of Chinatown in San Francisco
it amazes me how all the jewelry and trinket shops can survive in one neighborhood. The economic
lure of the Gold Rush of 1849 brought many of these Chinese emigrants to this area. 150 years
later the average household income here is $21,930. Considering the cost of living in
California- that is harsh. Perhaps it is a small price to pay to live in a neighborhood so unique,
but then there is always Disney's Celebration.
