Zazzle

Zazzle, a long time client of ZURB, creates innovative personalized products

Zazzle defines itself as, "Infinite and instant, Zazzle is the only on-demand retail platform for consumers and major brands, offering billions of retail quality, one-of-a-kind products produced within 24 hours." We'd prefer to call Zazzle a cool company that allows anyone to create their own custom products.

One of our first projects with Zazzle was headed up by Jeff Beaver, a crazy entrepreneur and generally nice guy (he can get kinda cranky at 3:00 am) . Jeff, never one to hide from big projects, invited ZURB to work on the design tool project. After a few months of hard work with Zazzle, we we're able to create an amazing tool for creating custom products. It took a few months to stabilize the system, but the result was the most advanced custom product tool online. It worked so well that the tool was used to build the entire product platform on. Below is an early version of the tool.

Battle for the Z's

On November 10, 2005, ZURB challenged Zazzle to a bocce ball game. The stakes we're high- this game determined who kept their Z. In the end, ZURB was victorious and Zazzle lost all three games. In an effort to console the Zazzle team, ZURB quickly made up a few "consolation" shirts with the Zazzle design tool and had them sent over to each one of the losing team members.
