Learning with design

We believe in teaching cultures and that anyone can learn design.

We believe in helping others design better products faster. There's no better way to do that than through education and collaboration.

It's important for us to work closely with clients and keep them involved every step of the way. By guiding through our design process and advocating Design Thinking, we are not only helping to teach cultures, but also providing a stellar arsenal of tools and products to get things done at warp speed.

Collaborating through our design process

Our design process was created with education in mind. Our clients stick by our side through each phase, staying informed, providing feedback and learning how culture plays a major factor. Here’s how it works:

  • Define

Definition starts with conducting research. Evaluating service strategies and conducting goal mapping helps us learn about specific business goals. We get educated on the needs of the user by holding interviews, reviewing user profiles and establishing mental models. All of these key elements are how we identify opportunities surrounding a product blueprint.

  • Ideate

The driving force behind Ideation is the power of brainstorming and creating concepts. We sketch concepts and test here. We create touchpoints, functions and use cases to gain insight into the stories we're trying to create. We use tools such as Influence and Verify to collect feedback as well as validate our ideas.

  • Prototype

When considering interaction design, prototyping is where ideas are validated with feedback and quick iteration. Hi-fi wireframes, mockups and/or screenshots are then used to create design prototypes. By creating these screen or HTML prototypes with applications like Solidify, we're given the opportunity to extensively test how these design elements are viewed and interacted with from a user perspective.

  • Build

Once iteration has been completed, we start to build. Design layouts and visual designs come together. We use a creative overview, moodboards and visualized concepts. Finally, we implement with our responsive framework, Foundation, our responsive framework. The result is a product built on collaborative thinking, user feedback and quick iteration.

  • Analyze

Product research is a great way to gain this sort of insight. User feedback plays an important role by way of user testing partnered with the understanding of customer surveys, emails and interviews. Bug reporting and overall web audits, two of the most important elements of analyzing, are completed with the incorporation of our app, Notable. The faster we identify a problem, the quicker we can solve it.

Promoting design literacy

Along with an awesome approach to the design process, we’ve also beefed up our design education and collaboration tools.
