Looking to wrap up my portfolio site this week. All critiscism is welcome and appreciated.
Sweet! This a great example of concise, coherent and persuasive visual communication.
@Rojo, WOW! you always know what to say.
what he said..hahhaha :p
but really, very clean and well executed. good work
You, sir, are a master of the dark arts. And by "dark arts", I mean your web site.
I like it a lot. The italic paragraph makes me NOT read it though. But that's just me. My eyes are lazy.
I think background texture is a bit aggressive. Otherwise it looks really cool. The way you aligned elements to the background image is perfect!
Let's all jump on @Rojo and pour Coke on his keyboard - sick of him always sayin' the best stuff.
@Rojo thank you for saying the best stuff :P @Kevin thank you for the kind words. @visualidiot, Darth Vader is really my father. @JHouse, I want to disagree with you but I was told that by one other designer at one point, although I like the tone, you may be right, although I feel it lends warmth to the overall feel. I am curious if anyone else shares the same feeling about the ital. @retrib, the whole texture is based of a one 40x40 tile, I had to find a happy medium. @bchalker, next time be the first one to comment on my post :P
You guys are great :)
@Rojo has radar on the posts...he knows the good ones to comment on before they are even posted. He just waits like a hawk and swoops in - I'll never be first to comment lol.
I will add though, the scribble is a very cool element in this, and the sketch to straigh line transition is great. Well thought out concept, Stan.
@bchalker lol! Thank you, and I really appreciate it, originally in my 2001 flash site this was animated, and I found it challenging translating the concept into a static image. I appreciate it.
Great job. You have some really nice work showcased in the portfolio section.
@stevenhoger, thank you, both on on site and content
